Jean Rondeau, harpsichord

"The Goldberg Variations"

A young French harpsichord phenom, “one of the most natural performers one is likely to hear on a classical music stage these days” (The Washington Post), takes the Pompeian Room by storm with “an affinity for [the harpsichord] and comfort in its presence that allow him to see in it its possibilities rather than its limitations” (Gramophone). He performs Bach's monumental Goldberg Variations, along with selections by Rameau, with “the sort of communicative gifts normally encountered in musicians twice his age” (The Washington Post).
