Orlando Consort

Matthew Venner, countertenor; Mark Dobell, tenor; Angus Smith, tenor; Donald Greig, baritone

Exploding with light and color, the Central Library’s magnificent high-domed rotunda is a breathtaking entryway to the early cultural spirit of Los Angeles. In this resonant setting, hear ravishing chansons, motets and madrigals filled with floral and botanical imagery to illustrate both earthly and heavenly love. “The Orlando Consort’s performances are staggeringly beautiful” (The Times, London) . "Everything is immaculately tuned, balanced and phrased" (Gramophone).

Please note - each concert, 1 hour long.

This program is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
