Celebrate the holidays in style by allowing yourself to be transported back to the chivalrous days of knights and troubadours with this magical concert performed by Alla francesca, ensemble-in-residence at Musée de Cluny, Paris, and celebrated for playing “the flower of medieval music” (Diapason). For this journey back in time, the setting will be the baronial splendor of The Mermaid, a magnificent residence with a storied past set in the lush environs of Topanga Canyon. This royal program will feature music by Thibaut de Champagne (1201-1253), a knight, a songwriter, and the first French King of Navarre.
