Adam del Monte's Cuarteto Flamenco

Elegant Lalique glass, the warmth of burnished wood, and an Art Deco Framework provide the salon setting for an intimate encounter with the passionate art of flamenco. Led by a guitarist whose eclectic awareness of jazz, world music and other contemporary forms has led to new creative renditions of flamenco repertoire, Cuarteto Flamenco spotlights the intense artistry of Jesús Montoya, "The Pavarotti of Flamenco." This gypsy singer from Seville will take you on a soul-stirring journey through this haunting and mesmerizing music, supported by the jazz-flavored stylings of del Monte and his ensemble for an experience you will not soon forget. "... del Monte defies physics with his expressive [and] profoundly inspiring playing" (Guitar Player Magazine).

This concert is cosponsored by Cicada Restaurant.
