Treat yourself to an evening of old-world elegance. At the top of an impressive grand staircase, a resonant ballroom of stately arches and chandeliers welcomes the Los Angeles debut of one of the world’s most highly praised and recorded baroque orchestras. Offering “an exhilarating authentic-band
experience,” (Classic FM, London) Concerto Köln performs with “a distinctive timbre and never-flagging excitement” (International Record Review) works by Vivaldi and Sammartini, along with Bach’s beloved Brandenburg Concerti Nos. 4 and 5. “... nuanced phrasing, little joie-de-vivre moments of flipped-up grace notes, crisp articulation, inflections in loving color.”
(The New York Times).
