Seated in the gilded splendor of a replica of the Petit Trianon and listening to French and French inspired music of the Baroque, you’ll feel like a special guest of Mme. du Pompadour at the Versailles court. Musica ad Rhenum brings its “exhilarating freshness” (The Times, London), a “refreshing sense of freedom” (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) and an “infectious, daring, and joyful style of music making” (Nürnberger Zeitung) to a sensuous and elegant program of works by Couperin and Telemann, including two of Telemann’s exquisite “Paris” Quartets, written by the composer to perform with the leading virtuosi of the French capital.
Light artists reception.
