The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Little Tokyo
Frank Gehry (1982)

Los Angeles Guitar Quartet

Celebrate MOCA’s 30th anniversary as three Los Angeles icons—the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, architect Frank Gehry, and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet—unite for this powerhouse concert. In Gehry’s masterful reworking of a 1940s warehouse, the Grammy award-winning LAGQ brings its “combination of individual virtuosity, impeccable ensemble playing, and a repertoire that is simultaneously eclectic, adventurous, and accessible” (Acoustic Guitar) to its signature varied program. “The world’s hottest classical ensemble or its tightest pop band? However it helps you to think about the LAGQ, keep the emphasis on superlatives for its unrivaled joy, technical elan and questing spirits” (Los Angeles Times).

Little Tokyo Festival. Make a day of it with our self-guided walking tour of Little Tokyo. Arrive early to view Collection: The First 30 Years, the most comprehensive chronologically organized exhibition of MOCA's permanent collection to date. (Museum admission included with ticket price.)
