Augustin Hadelich, violin and Ian Parker, piano

This multi-prize winning young violinist creates a sensation wherever he performs. “… not a standard issue virtuoso. He has tremendous technical fluency, but he reaches far beyond that, putting it in the service of articulate, even poetic communication” (The New York Times). Playing the 1683 ex-Gingrich Stradivarius, Hadelich will bring his virtuosic technique, captivating stage presence and singing style to a program of works by Telemann (Fantasias in A & E), Brahms (Sonata in G, Op. 78), Poulenc (Sonata) and Sarasate (Zigeunerweisen). “… the future of great violin playing is safe and very bright in Augustin Hadelich's … hands” (American Record Guide).
